As an award-winning nonprofit hospice and palliative care provider nestled in the scenic beauty of Wilmington, NC, we've been dedicated to serving individuals and families for over 40 years across southeastern North Carolina and northeastern South Carolina.

Responsibilities

• See patients in a hospice care center environment
• Educate caregivers on how to care for their loved one (disease education, advance care planning, medication administration, end-of-life expectations)
• Coordinate care between patient's community medical providers and other disciplines
• Collaborate with inpatient hospice clinical liaisons to coordinate and facilitate patient care at end-of-life
• Teach students, residents, and staff

Requirements

• Initial board certification in a primary specialty
• Palliative Medicine Fellowship training or other comparable experience
• Must possess the following personal qualities: self-directed, flexible, committed to the team concept, demonstrates teamwork, initiative, willingness to learn, openness to new learning experiences, respect for diversity, and customer service values.
