Hospice Physician (1099 Contract)

Serve as complementary physician for hospice patients (home, facility, inpatient)

  • Complete CTIs, face-to-face encounters, and related documentation
  • Participate in IDG case discussions for your patients
  • Participate in on-call coverage blocks

What We're Looking For

  • Active Hawaii medical license, DEA/NED registration
  • Hospice/palliative experience preferred
  • HPM board certification a plus
  • Comfortable with independent clinical decision-making and minimal day-to-day oversight

  • Expected to participate in the Performance Improvement Program, Compliance Program, and to comply with Federal and State regulations governing hospice programs
  • Adheres to the organization’s standards of conduct as a condition of continued employment
  • Demonstrates good judgment in seeking and accepting guidance, facilitates clear and honest communication with other team members
  • Demonstrates ethical conduct and judgment that is in harmony with the mission and values of Navian Hawaii
  • Demonstrates ability to execute an effective, supportive, sensitive approach in response to the needs of staff and the patient and family
  • Works harmoniously with a broad range of staff, volunteers, and the community as a representative of Navian Hawaii
