Hospice Pet Therapy Volunteers Needed

Purpose

To positively impact patients and their families by providing exceptional home health, palliative, and hospice care through a collaborative, team-based approach.

Responsibilities

  • Visit Hospice patients with certified pet therapy dogs to bring joy, humor, love, and companionship.
  • Bring unconditional, non-judgmental love to patients on the end-of-life journey.
  • Reduce feelings of loneliness and anxiety for patients.
  • Encourage patients to socialize and have something to look forward to.

Qualifications

  • Certified pet therapy dog.
  • Experience with hospice care and end-of-life situations.
  • Ability to provide comfort and companionship to patients and their families.
