Purpose
To positively impact patients and their families by providing exceptional home health, palliative, and hospice care through a collaborative, team-based approach.
Responsibilities
- Visit Hospice patients with certified pet therapy dogs to bring joy, humor, love, and companionship.
- Bring unconditional, non-judgmental love to patients on the end-of-life journey.
- Reduce feelings of loneliness and anxiety for patients.
- Encourage patients to socialize and have something to look forward to.
Qualifications
- Certified pet therapy dog.
- Experience with hospice care and end-of-life situations.
- Ability to provide comfort and companionship to patients and their families.
