Hospice On-Call RN

Schedule

On‑call staffing support (7 on and 7 off) covering 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM, seven days per week.

Pay

$10,000 sign‑on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and evaluate changes in condition.
• Provide symptom management and end‑of‑life nursing care.
• Respond to after‑hours, weekend, and holiday patient needs.
• Coordinate care with physicians, hospice leadership, facilities, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Complete admissions, routine visits, crisis visits, General Inpatient (GIP), and Continuous Care (CC) visits as assigned.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding disease progression, medications, and comfort measures.
• Ensure accurate and timely EMR documentation and compliance with hospice regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Hospice, home health, oncology, critical care, ER, or med‑surg nursing experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and autonomous decision‑making skills.
• Ability to travel throughout the greater Columbus market and participate in on‑call rotations.

Mental and Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, stand, and walk (approximately 35 % of the time).
