About the role
The Hospice CNA position at Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is a flexible opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of hospice patients and their families. This role requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who can assist with personal care tasks and provide support to family caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Assist with various personal care issues including changing bedding, clothing, bathing hospice patients, and maintaining hygiene routines.
- Provide guidance and support to family members caring for terminally ill relatives.
- Communicate regularly with supervising registered nurses to keep the hospice team informed about patient progress and family needs.
Qualifications
- One year full-time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility).
- One year experience within the last five years in direct client care in a home health or hospice setting.
- Registered and listed in good standing on the nurse aide registry in the state of employment.
- Basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid state driver license.
- Maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law.
- Maintain dependable transportation in good working condition.
- Must complete training and competency evaluation in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Must possess CPR certification.
Compensation
Hourly rate - $20; Routine - $20
