Hospice CNA - Denton County

About the role

Reliant at Home is seeking a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide personal healthcare and related services to patients in Denton County and surrounding areas. The position works under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse, assisting in maintaining a safe and clean environment and communicating observations to the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal healthcare and related services to patients in their place of residence.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and families.
• Work cooperatively with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Share observations and problems with the supervising registered nurse.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (preferred).
• Current driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance.
• Proof of current CPR certification.
• At least one year of experience as a Home Health Aide or Nursing Assistant in a hospital, nursing home, or hospice agency (preferred).

Skills

• Ability to read, write, and verbally report clinical information to patients, representatives, caregivers, and agency staff.
• Demonstrated interest in the welfare of the ill and elderly.
• Successful completion of the Aide Competency Evaluation Skills Checklist and written Skills Test.
