Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant PRN

About the role

Everwind Hospice is seeking a compassionate PRN Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide personal care and supportive services to hospice patients in various settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, skin care, and mobility assistance.
• Absorb and report changes in patients' physical, emotional, or environmental conditions to the supervising nurse.
• Offer compassionate companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
• Document care provided accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Follow the individualized plan of care and hospice philosophy, focusing on comfort, quality of life, and patient choice.
• Communicate effectively with members of the interdisciplinary hospice team.

Qualifications

• Current Montana Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of CNA experience required; hospice, home health, long-term care, or palliative care experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Commitment to treating patients and families with dignity, empathy, and respect.
