About the role
Provide paraprofessional services to the organization’s home care clients as developed by the primary nurse and as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with the state’s Nurse Practice Act, and any other regulations defining home health aide / hospice aide services.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services to clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Assist with medication administration under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Monitor client’s condition and report changes to the primary nurse.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care plans are implemented.
- Support patients and families through emotional and psychological needs.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Maryland.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in hospice, palliative care, or home health (preferred).
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to provide emotional support to patients and families.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of hospice and palliative care principles.

Pay
$18.63 - $27.94 per hour (based on years of experience and skill set)

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
