Hospice Associate Medical Director (1099)

As an Associate Medical Director at Bloom Hospice, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional hospice and palliative care services to our patients. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate physician with a board certification in hospice and palliative care, or a minimum of two years of experience in hospice and end-of-life care.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the hospice interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients
- Provide expert medical guidance in pain and symptom management
- Offer emotional support and communication to patients and their families
- Participate in the evaluation and admission of new hospice patients
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the hospice program
- Mentor and support healthcare staff in providing palliative and hospice care
Qualifications
- Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (preferred)
- Minimum of two years of experience in hospice and end-of-life care
- Valid medical license in the state of Texas (note: the job location is San Antonio, but the license requirement is listed as Colorado in the original posting, this may be an error)
