Hospice Aide CNA - Wilson, NC - Full Time
About the Role
Join Hospice of Wilson, a part of LHC Group and the Optum family of businesses, as a Home and Community Based Services Aide. In this full-time position, you will provide support, assistance with personal hygiene, and household functions to help individuals remain in their own homes while delivering hospice care through home visits. Our agency covers Wilson, Nash, Edgecombe, Johnston, and Wayne counties, and candidates must be able to see patients within this area.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders
- Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
- Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
- Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs
- Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
Requirements
- Current CNA certification in NC
- Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transportation
- For in-home aides not listed on the nurse aide registry, must have verification of core competencies by a registered nurse (NC state requirement)
Preferred Qualifications
- Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
- 6+ months of home care experience
- Ability to work flexible hours and independently

Pay
The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $23.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is determined by several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
Schedule
Our business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
