Responsibilities

• Provides coaching and training to nurses identified as needing additional assistance with skill development and documentation training.
• Affords support to new certified nursing assistants through training.
• Communicates regularly with orientees during the orientation period and 3-month evaluation period, including joint visits.
• Provides frequent communication and feedback to the orientee’s manager during the orientation and 3-month evaluation periods.
• Reviews required competency forms with each nurse and preceptor regularly during the orientation period and ensures new staff have satisfactorily completed all requirements.

Requirements

• Associate [Required] Bachelor's [Preferred] Field Of Study In Nursing.
• 2+ years experience as a registered nurse (RN) including one year of hospice experience [Required] Home health and/or acute care nursing experience [Preferred]

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) [Preferred]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Skills

• Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing and typing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.
• Knowledge of electronic medical record.
• Ability to follow standard precautions and uses personal protective equipment when indicated.

Location

Office is in Altamonte Springs but travel within Volusia, Flagler, Seminole, Orange and Osceola.

Pay

$60,748.67 - $97,197.90
