About the Role

Develop and maintain positive relationships with referral sources and designated communities, providing education on hospice care topics. Assist with intake to ensure timely and accurate referral coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Meet admission and call volume targets.
  • Coordinate daily sales and marketing operations, including implementation of marketing initiatives.
  • Build and monitor customer perceptions of St. Croix Hospice as a high-quality service provider.
  • Document all sales activity in the CRM per organizational requirements.
  • Employ marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve budgetary sales volume projections.
  • Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of markets, including government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitors’ market positioning.
  • Enhance communication flow between patients, families, caregivers, facilities, physician teams, and hospice support vendors.
  • Provide education on hospice care to patients, families, and caregivers, encouraging informed decision-making.
  • Assist the Director of Patient Services/Regional Director in establishing organization volume projections in the annual budget and allocations for the marketing department.
  • Monitor allocation of resources according to budgetary limitations.
  • Conduct market assessments and assist in developing a comprehensive marketing plan to meet budgetary volume projections.
  • Coordinate and schedule marketing events, vendor fairs, and exhibits within various territories.
  • Assist with ongoing training and support of the Care Transition Team.
  • Participate in mentoring and shadowing of Care Transition Coordinators to assist in territory management.
  • Assist in orienting new staff members of the marketing team.
  • Provide leadership in strategic planning, identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs.
  • Maintain comprehensive working knowledge in the field of marketing and share information with appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain knowledge of community resources and assist customers in accessing them if services are not provided.
  • Monitor and report cost-effectiveness of marketing efforts.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • Clinical background and hospital familiarity preferred.
  • Ability to position services and deal tactfully with customers and clients.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.
  • Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation.
