Horticulturist

About the role

Join Invited, the largest owner and operator of private clubs nationwide, with 130+ country clubs, city clubs, and athletic clubs. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing golf course landscapes and clubhouse gardens, ensuring aesthetic and functional quality through skilled horticultural and landscape maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered equipment for mowing and maintaining golf course and clubhouse landscape operations.
• Water, fertilize, and apply pesticides to flowerbeds and shrubbery around the clubhouse.
• Trim trees, prune shrubbery, and cultivate shrubs and flowers to enhance aesthetic appeal and health.
• Plant and maintain woody plant materials and flowerbeds in clubhouse, golf course, and commons areas.
• Operate and calibrate spraying equipment for accurate application of fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments.
• Assist with additional tasks as needed due to the dynamic nature of the club.
• Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.
• Maintain professionalism and excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff.
• Adhere to safe working practices and comply with safety guidelines.
• Take initiative in personal and professional growth, maintaining required certifications.
• Address and resolve challenges using available resources, collaborating with regional and corporate teams.
• Attend daily briefings and engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to team success.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in landscape maintenance, greenhouse management, or groundskeeping.

Physical Requirements

• Primarily outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and humidity.
• Activities include sitting, standing, walking, climbing/ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, and lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs.
• Requires talking, hearing, and seeing.

Schedule

Attendance is required as outlined on the weekly schedule. Additional hours, including weekends and/or holidays, may be necessary to meet deadlines.
