Horticulture Technician

About the role

This position is based on our campus in Madison, WI and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Care for ornamental gardens on campus
• Maintain turf and irrigation systems
• Gain hands‑on experience with planting, watering, weeding, mulching, pruning, deadheading, burning, and snow removal
• Assist the horticulture team and help lead projects on campus, site, or turf teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture or a related field (equivalent work experience considered)

Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors 8 hours a day and lift 50 lbs
• Experience in temperate ornamental horticulture and/or arboriculture preferred
• Experience with commercial equipment preferred
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
• Live within 45 minutes of Epic’s Campus in Verona, WI or be willing to relocate
• COVID‑19 vaccination
