About the role
This Horticulture Technician position is based on Epic’s campus in Madison, WI and requires relocation to the area; the company recruits nationally and provides financial relocation assistance. You will join the horticulture team to maintain a diverse, sustainably managed campus landscape that promotes creativity and makes a lasting impression, assisting with and helping to lead projects on campus, site, or turf teams.
Responsibilities
- Care for ornamental gardens across campus
- Maintain turf and irrigation systems
- Perform hands‑on horticultural tasks such as planting, watering, weeding, mulching, pruning, deadheading, burning, and snow removal
- Join and help lead projects with the campus, site, or turf teams
Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors 8 hours per day
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
- Live within 45 minutes of Epic’s Verona, WI campus or be willing to relocate
- COVID‑19 vaccination
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture or a related field (equivalent work experience will be considered)
Skills
- Experience in temperate ornamental horticulture and/or arboriculture (preferred)
- Experience with commercial equipment (preferred)
