About the role
The Horticulture Student Assistant- Sutton position is part of Dr. Sutton’s citrus research and extension program at the University of Georgia. This position involves a mix of field and laboratory work.
Responsibilities
- Field Data Collection (50% of time)
- Laboratory Sample Processing (50% of time)
Requirements
- High school degree required
- A valid driver’s license is preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic laboratory safety knowledge
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather
- Lift up to 50 lbs. consistently
- Repetitively bend, stoop, climb, etc.
- Good communication skills
- Follow both oral and written instructions
