About the Role
This is an opportunity to join a growing company offering a competitive base salary and benefits. The role is located in Crowley, TX, on the 2nd shift.
Schedule
4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday, 4:15 PM to 3:00 AM.
Responsibilities
- Produce barrels using saws, straighteners, CNC equipment, hones, paint equipment, and inspection processes while following standard work methods to meet customer expectations in accordance with all quality and safety protocols.
- Learn, adhere to, and apply principles of Lean Manufacturing to maintain high-quality standards.
- Participate in daily team meetings to support Harbison-Fischer’s strategy.
- Engage in the Continuous Improvement Program.
- Operate all machines and equipment within the department.
- Cross-train on multiple pieces of equipment and processes to maximize productivity.
- Rotate among necessary processes as needed.
- Assist team members to meet customer demand.
- Use hand-held measuring devices (e.g., micrometers, calipers, tape measures) to inspect and measure parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
- Perform repetitive motions throughout the process.
- Stay on task to complete activities.
- Participate in continuous training in Lean, Kaizen, PDCA, and other Operational Excellence principles.
- Lead or participate in PDCAs as assigned or identified.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 1 year of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Good computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Commitment to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to maintain appropriate levels of daily attendance, initiative, and productivity.
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete work according to product specifications.
- Ability to read and understand product specifications, drawings, and prints.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Standing or walking for most of the workday.
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to use hands and fingers to pick, feel, and/or inspect materials.
- Reach with arms and hands as needed.
Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.
