About the Role

Tom Wood Group is opening a new location in Whitestown, Indiana (opening November 2026) and is seeking experienced and motivated Automotive Technicians to join a high‑performing team. The position involves precision, efficiency, and delivering exceptional service with provided tools, training, and career growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify potential issues early.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems with accuracy.
Maintain detailed and accurate service documentation.
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding repair needs and recommendations.
Stay current with evolving automotive technologies, tools, and repair techniques.
Deliver high‑quality workmanship that meets or exceeds manufacturer standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
ASE certifications or OEM training preferred (not required).
Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Familiarity with shop equipment (alignment systems, tire machines, diagnostic tools, AC service equipment).
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
