Homework Cafe Teacher

About the Role

As a HomeworkCafé® Teacher, you'll support students in our homework hubs and social spaces. Our diverse team of lifelong learners shares a mission to personalize education for every student — academically, socially, and emotionally. Please note: Not all campuses serve grades 4 and 5, and specific details will be shared during the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and help students' progress in completion of homework and with executive functioning skills
• Communicate with teachers and parents on student progress
• Promote a positive social environment for students
• Adapt support to meet each learner's needs
• Mentor each student and support their social-emotional growth
• Contribute to campus life or culture
• Keep student records accurate and organized
• Invest in your own growth through reflection, feedback, and ongoing professional development
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees or a teaching credential is a plus
• Ability and willingness to support students with a wide range of assignments
• Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges
• Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning
• Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to function in a high-paced environment, be calm and open for feedback, as well as a self-starter
• Ability to build rapport with students while maintaining authority, boundaries, and discipline
• Must maintain a clean and organized milieu space for students to learn
• A growth mindset with the flexibility to pivot and problem-solve as needed

USD $26.00 - USD $26.00 /Hr.
