About the role
NJM is a leading provider of worker’s compensation, automobile and homeowners’ insurance in New Jersey. The Property Field Adjuster (Homeowners Rep) role investigates and evaluates claims related to property damage, assessing damages, determining coverages, and negotiating settlements for covered losses.
Responsibilities
- Conclude all assigned claims with appropriate closing documents and reports signifying resolution in a timely manner.
- Conduct ongoing review independently and with supervisor on all assigned files focusing on adequacy of reserve and required investigation.
- Initiate appropriate action to conclude all claims in a manner consistent with existing multiple state laws and company guidelines.
- Obtain and maintain state licensing as required.
- Investigate, review, analyze, and evaluate assigned claims expeditiously in preparation for prompt resolution.
- Provide accurate estimates of damages utilizing available estimating equipment or independent estimating services as needed or required.
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 1 year of Homeowner Rep. claims experience.
- Strong multi-tasking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and time effectively.
- Understanding of insurance policies and their application.
- Reliable, with high integrity and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in electronic claim management system.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Knowledge of Xactimate Estimating software preferred.
- Multi-State Licensing (TX/CT- preferred).

Pay
- Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.
- Pay Range: $67,543-$85,174.
