Homecare Technician

Job Summary

PromptCare is seeking a reliable Homecare Technician Driver to join our team. The role includes delivering medical supplies and equipment to clients' homes, picking up equipment in accordance with regulations, and responding to emergency calls as needed.

Responsibilities

• Calling patients to notify them of expected delivery times
• Loading and unloading vehicles with required equipment, medications, oxygen, and supplies
• Correctly and effectively delivering HME, medications, oxygen, and supplies
• Setting up oxygen tanks, concentrators, and other respiratory-related equipment
• Picking up HME, oxygen tanks, and hazardous waste according to policies and procedures
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in the building and on the truck
• Completing all paperwork as directed, including CODs, insurance information, signatures, etc.
• Organizing work processes efficiently
• Completing and returning appropriate documentation according to policies and procedures in a timely manner
• Maintaining vehicle compliance with DOT and FDA regulations
• Beginning daily deliveries by 10:30 am
• Keeping all patient care, financial information, and employee activities confidential
• Able to work longer than normal hours with little or no notice, as needed
• Interacting with fellow drivers professionally
• Performing other warehouse duties as assigned, such as cleaning equipment, inventory stock, etc.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid Driver’s License
• Clean driving record of minimum three (3) years
• Knowledge of healthcare and/or home medical equipment preferred
• Basic computer/tablet skills and phone etiquette

Physical Demands

The physical demands outlined here are indicative of those necessary for an employee to effectively perform the essential functions of this role. While carrying out the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and listen attentively. The role frequently involves walking and reaching with hands and arms. It also necessitates the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as needed. Additionally, this position occasionally requires lifting office products and supplies weighing 25 pounds but no more than 50 pounds.
