Homebound Tutors

Responsibilities

• Contact the home of assigned student and sets up a schedule of instruction
• Communicate with school counselor or student's teachers about progress and/or assignment completion
• Takes work from the school to the student, and returns completed work to the school
• Works with the student in various subject areas as medical issues permit
• Navigate learning platform/google docs and other online sources
• Completes weekly progress report and time sheet

Qualifications

• State of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) preferred
• If candidate holds a substitute license, they must be supervised by the student's teacher that holds the appropriate PEL
• Has flexibility in working with students who have medical issues
