Job Overview

We are seeking a versatile and customer-oriented Home Services Technician to join our team at Marvin Home Center. This full-time role involves hands-on work like drywall, finish carpentry, and window/door installation. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems and working independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform small repair, installation, and maintenance jobs for residential and light commercial customers and Marvin Headquarters and Visitor Center buildings, including but not limited to drywall patching and repair, siding and gutter repair, basic landscaping and trimming, pressure washing and window cleaning, window installation and adjustments, finish carpentry, trim work, and custom wood projects, shelving, cabinets, countertops, doors, window coverings, weatherstripping, and other handyman tasks.
• Provide on-site evaluations to recommend solutions and materials.
• Deliver excellent customer service both in-store and at job sites.
• Safely operate hand and power tools in compliance with company and safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent.
• Load, transport, and unload materials for projects as needed.
• Collaborate with store staff to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet customer expectations.
• Perform routine maintenance and seasonal checkups.
• Handle emergency repairs and coordinate advanced repairs with preferred contractors and manage the needed repairs until completion.

Requirements

• Proven handyman, maintenance, or construction experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working at various heights on ladders and in confined/small spaces when needed.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Drywall repair, window and door installation, and finish carpentry.

Pay

$31.00 - $42.00 per hour.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, full-time. On-call Weekends for Warroad Real Estate.
