Home Services (CNA) Aide - Provo/Heber

About the role

The Senior Home Services Assistant provides comprehensive patient care in the home setting under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Rehabilitation Therapist. Duties include assisting with bowel and bladder care, administering medications, performing wound care, and coordinating patient schedules.

Responsibilities

• Performs bowel and bladder care including bladder irrigation, bowel stimulation, and digital stool removal.
• Assists with self-administered medications and simple wound care as per RN delegation.
• Supports patients during end-of-life care and those with medical complexities who require additional assistance.
• Coordinates patient schedules with staff, patients, and family members, ensuring timely visits.
• Maintains accurate records of time and mileage, adhering to safety policies and reporting significant care concerns.
• Communicates effectively with patients and reports care concerns to appropriate staff.
• Documents patient responses to treatment plans and observes patient progress.

Requirements

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current driver's license, insurance, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Experience as a CNA or in home health/hospice preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift and move patients and equipment as needed.
• Requires manual dexterity and computer literacy.

Pay and Schedule

Starting at $19.31+ per hour, based on experience. Full-time, 40 hours/week, scheduled visits. Shifts: Monday through Friday, rotation on-call weekends and rotating holidays. Location: Home Services - Heber, Home Services - Provo.
