About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced in-person tutor in Bonita Springs, FL (34134) to provide academic support to elementary and middle school students, with a focus on English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics.

• Provide academic support based on individual student needs and state curriculum
• Develop and provide supplemental assignments to reinforce learning
• Offer remedial and enrichment support
• Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress
• Create a customized approach tailored to the student's learning style and academic goals
• Deliver engaging, one-on-one instruction in an in-person, in-home setting

Schedule

Primarily weekday daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least one of the following:
  • Valid Florida State teaching certificate or equivalent
  • Current student teacher pursuing a teaching certificate
  • Two or more years of experience as a private or charter school classroom teacher
  • Experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. university or college
  • Master's or PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at an accredited U.S. university or college

Skills
