Home Instructor - Akron Childrens Hospital (ACH)

Qualifications

• Valid teaching certification/licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Desired: Commitment to work 24 hrs. per week at ACH;
• Demonstrates knowledge of instructional strategies;
• Experience in planning, developing and conducting instruction in a one-one setting;
• Commitment to work with scientifically-based research instructional practices;
• Experience working collaboratively with families, teachers, school districts and ACH staff.

Position Description

• Provide academic instruction supports on site at ACH;
• Communicates with the regular classroom teacher to identify pupil needs;
• Reports pupil progress to classroom teacher, program personnel and/or parents;
• Keeps up-to-date records of each pupil's progress;
• Performs all other duties as directed by the Director of Special Education or his designee.
• Reports to ACH 24 hours per week, follows Akron Public School's calendar.
