Home Infusion Nurse
About the role
At LUX Infusion, our Registered Nurses play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in the home infusion setting. This position focuses on nutritional support and intravenous (IV) therapy, supporting patients through education, treatment administration, and ongoing clinical monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Clinical Services
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, including physical and nutritional evaluations
- Administer IV, IM, and SC therapies in accordance with physician orders
- Perform peripheral IV starts/restarts, central line care, and lab draws
- Monitor patients for clinical progress, complications, and treatment effectiveness
- Provide education and training to patients and caregivers on infusion therapy and self-care
- Caregiver support and coordination of home equipment (DME)
- Care Coordination & Case Management
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure smooth transition from hospital to home
- Communicate patient progress and changes in condition to providers in a timely manner
- Participate in patient care conferences and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Assume case management responsibilities for assigned patients
- Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation
- Follow all LUX Infusion policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols
- Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives, Patient Safety Committee, and Emergency Preparedness programs
- Ensure compliance with corporate compliance and regulatory standards
- Professional Development & Team Support
- Maintain clinical competency through ongoing education and training
- Support onboarding and mentoring of new Registered Nurses
- Contribute to a collaborative, respectful, and patient-focused team environment
Qualifications
- Graduate of an NLN-accredited nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in practicing state
- 1+ year IV therapy experience, including nutritional support and/or immunoglobulin therapy
- OR 2+ years recent acute care experience, or completion of a 3-month RN home infusion apprenticeship
- CPR certification (within 30 days of hire)
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong clinical knowledge in IV therapy and nutrition support
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently under remote supervision
