About the role
A Home Health Speech Language Pathologist evaluates, treats, and supports patients in home or facility settings.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, develop, and implement speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing therapy plans.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments, interpret results, and administer therapeutic treatments.
- Monitor and document patient progress, communicate changes to the healthcare team, and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Provide patient, family, and staff education on communication strategies and treatment goals.
- Participate in care coordination, discharge planning, and maintain confidential documentation.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and adhere to ethical standards.
Requirements
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology (ASHA).
- Minimum six months of related experience; home health experience preferred.
- Current, unrestricted license and CPR certification.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Pay
Pay ranges from $54.00 to $76.00 per visit/unit, with annual salaries between $85,400 and $117,500.
