About the role
This role involves providing professional nursing care in a home health setting, utilizing all elements of the nursing process.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and evaluating patient status
- Reviewing and updating the Plan of Care
- Administering medications and treatments
- Maintaining communication with physicians and supervisory staff
- Assisting with activities of daily living
- Promoting patient independence
- Educating patients and families on self-care techniques
- Ensuring a safe environment
Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- Current CPR certification
- At least one year of recent experience in home health or hospice
- Certification in IV or ET procedures (preferred)
- Excellent observation, judgment, communication skills
- Physical stamina
- Licensed driver with insured transportation (required)
