About the role

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will deliver skilled education, treatment, and interventions under the direction of a physical therapist and physician, focusing on patient safety and functional improvement.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct physical therapy services in accordance with the plan of care
• Communicating with patients and caregivers about treatment plans
• Administering treatments, procedures, and assistive device education
• Monitoring and reporting patient progress and condition changes
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members on patient care
• Planning discharge and ensuring smooth transition post-treatment
• Participating in ongoing training and maintaining professional standards
• Ensuring confidentiality and accurate documentation of patient information

Qualifications and Skills

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current, unrestricted state license
• Valid CPR certification
• Strong communication, clinical, and collaborative skills
