HOME HEALTH NURSE

About the role

Provide full performance level in-home acute care nursing services to patients requiring complex nursing care under the direction of a physician, advanced practice nurse or physician assistant. This position must be able to work holidays, weekends and evenings.

Requirements

• Education: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered Nurses.
• Experience: One year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care, critical care or home health care setting.
• Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classification or Nursing specialty codes in the Nursing field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
• Licenses, Registrations and Certifications: Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing (4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215). May be assigned duties requiring operation of a motor vehicle – must hold a valid Maryland motor vehicle operator’s license. May be required to successfully complete and maintain current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training.
• Special Requirements: Subject to call‑in – must provide a telephone number at which they can be reached. Subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09.
• Selection Process: Applicants meeting minimum (and selective) qualifications will be further evaluated, typically via a rating of education, training, and experience against position requirements.
