About the Role
All About Home Care is a Houston-based home health care agency serving Houston and surrounding communities since 2004. We are seeking PRN Home Health Aides/Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to serve patients in the Northeast area of Greater Houston, including Spring, Humble, Kingwood, Huffman, Crosby, Barrett, and surrounding areas. This is a skilled home health CNA position, not a caregiving or in-home provider services role. Visits are typically completed within 45 minutes to a maximum of 1 hour and are paid on a per-visit basis. We utilize Kinnser/WellSky software to document patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and effective care to the sick and elderly.
- Take accurate temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy services as directed.
- Follow Universal Precautions and wash hands before and after the care of each patient.
- Complete all work assignments and turn in notes as required by Agency policy.
- Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures of the Agency.
- Adhere to Agency standards and consistently interpret and accurately perform all assigned responsibilities.
- Maintain acceptable attendance status and report incomplete work assignments to the RN.
- Present a clean and well-groomed appearance.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills through daily documentation.
- Attend position-related in-services, case conferences, and staff meetings.
- Attend all mandatory in-service programs as scheduled.
- Receive a minimum of 12 hours of in-service per calendar year (based on date of employment).
- Maintain a clean and neat work environment.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making.
- Coordinate care with RN and report changes in the patient’s condition.
- Maintain current CPR certification.
- Participate in the Agency’s QAPI meetings.
Requirements
- Have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.
- Be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
- Be able to carry out directions.
- Show a high level of maturity and be able to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
- Not be listed in the Nurse Aide Registry for misconduct.
- Not convicted of a felony or misdemeanor as evidenced by a criminal history check.
