Position Functions & Responsibilities

• Provides personal cares including:BathsBack rubsOral hygieneShampoosChanging bed linenAssisting the client with dressing and undressingSkin care to prevent breakdownAssisting the client with toileting activitiesKeeping client’s living area clean and orderlyPlanning and preparing nutritious meals.Assisting in feeding the client, if necessary.
• Taking and recording oral, rectal, and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered
• Ambulating and exercising the client according to the plan of care
• Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
• Aiding the client in the self-administration of medication
• Doing client’s laundry, as appropriate
• Maintaining client’s safety needs and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, mobility and transfer equipment, bathing equipment etc.)
• Reporting on client’s condition and significant changes to the assigned supervisory nurse
• Adhering to the Organization's documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct
• Leading by example in establishing rapport with clients
• Safeguarding positive & professional communication within the team
• Ensuring customer service resolution; escalating concerns
• Honoring client confidentiality, rights, privacy, and reporting maltreatment expectations
• Following all Emergency and Response Procedures
• Identifying home safety issues and notifying RN Case Manager or Clinical Manager of concerns or issues
• Demonstrating proper procedures: handling, lifting, transfers

Qualifications

• Completed CNA program and current on the Minnesota registry
• At least 18 years of age and is a high school graduate or equivalent
• Has Driver's License and Vehicle
• Passes an MVR check based on Lifespark company policy

Pay

CNA Hourly Wage: $20-25 an hour, depending on experience

Schedule

Full - Time / Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (no weekends, evenings or on-call)
