A local Sturgeon Bay resident who is paralyzed and requires full time assistance to live comfortably and maintain his independence at home is looking for a full-time caregiver.

Job Requirements

• A local Sturgeon Bay resident who is paralyzed and requires full time assistance to live comfortably and maintain his independence at home is looking for a full-time caregiver.
• He is looking for someone that is kind, patient, and a reliable individual to join his care team.
• Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming
• Mobility: Helping with transfers (bed to wheelchair, etc) and ensuring safe movement around the house. (Ceiling lift transfers)
• Medication: Assisting with distribution
• Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing nutritious meals, feeding assistance as needed
• Household Task: Light housekeeping, laundry, and running errands
• Companionship: Providing emotional support and engaging in social activities
• Letting personal dog in and out to go to the bathroom, sometimes taking on daily walks

Other Experience and Qualifications

• Prior experience as a caregiver helpful, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
