Home Health Aide - PRN

About the role

Become a part of our caring community. Home Health Aide will be responsible for keeping the patient’s environment clean and safe. Home Health Aide enables patients to stay in their homes by monitoring and recording patient condition, providing support and personal services, and teaching families.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise.
• Assist patients with personal services such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help patients care for themselves by teaching use of cane or walker, special utensils to eat, and special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene.
• Help family members care for the patient by teaching appropriate ways to lift, turn, and re‑position the patient and advising on nutrition and cleanliness.
• Record patient information by making entries in the patient journal and notifying the nursing supervisor of changing or unusual conditions.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy patient environment by following asepsis standards and procedures while maintaining security precautions.
• Protect the home care agency by adhering to professional standards, home care policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local requirements.

Qualifications

• HHA 75 Hour Certificate or Current CNA State License.
• CPR certification.
• OSHA Certificate.
• HIV/AIDS Certificate.
• HIPAA Certificate.
• Alzheimer's Certificate.
• Domestic Violence Certificate.
• Minimum 1+ year of professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors.
• Patient‑facing role; participation in Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program (TB screening required if selected).
• Valid in‑state driver’s license, current registration and insurance, and a driving record with no more than 2 points in the last 3 years.
• Proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100,000/300,000/100,000 limits (Humana Driver safety program).
• Florida applicants: subject to Florida Level 2 background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse (see https://info.flclearinghouse.com for details).

Pay

$37,440 – $43,800 per year (estimated starting base pay for full‑time 40‑hour/week employment; actual pay may vary by location, skills, experience, education, certifications, etc.).
