Home Health Aide - PRN

About the Role

Join our not-for-profit organization with over 100 years of providing housing and services to seniors, committed to quality care in a Christian environment. This position is based out of the Hastings Office, serving patients/residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks as delegated and indicated on the care plan for assigned patients/residents.
• Assist patients/residents in daily living activities such as dressing, undressing, bathing, and eating.
• Utilize age-related patient/resident care protocols for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Understand and address the physical and emotional changes, including those in the death and dying process.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Completion of nurse aide training (75 hours preferred, including 16 hours supervised practical training and 16 hours classroom training).
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
• For North Dakota positions: Registered as a Home Health Aide through the North Dakota Department of Health within four months of hire.
• Valid driver's license may be required depending on location.
• Good interpersonal skills, courtesy, and caring demeanor.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, organizational policies, and procedures.
• Ability to handle stress and perform detailed work accurately.

Department Details

This position operates out of the Hastings Office, with a varying shift schedule (PRN) and weekly hours. The salary range is $17.00 - $25.50 per hour.
