Home Health Aide - Private Duty

Position Details

Facility: BayCare Health System, Private Duty
Location: Pinellas County
Status: Full-Time or PRN -Per Visit, hourly
Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Varies
Weekend Work: Every 3rd weekend
On Call: No

Key Responsibilities

• Works under the guidance and supervision of the staff nurse in providing personal care to the patients.
• Fulfills the patient's plan of care for completion of tasks assigned by the registered nurse or other appropriate skilled professional.
• Maintains an open communication process with the patient, representative (if any), caregivers, and family.
• Demonstrates competency with assigned tasks.
• Complies with infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
• Reports changes in the patient's condition.
• Honors patient rights.

Required Certifications and Licensures

• CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA certification from accredited 75-hour program.
• Driver's License from the State of Florida (required within 30 days of hire).
• BLS (Basic Life Support).

Preferred Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience Preferred

• 1 year Home Care.

Qualifications

• Passes Level II screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, managed by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).
