We are looking for a compassionate HHA or CNA in Hernandez, NM to administer patient care in accordance with a physician-established care plan. This is a 1099 contract opportunity with care provided at the patient’s residence. Once patients are accepted into the program, there is no expiration for this benefit, allowing caregivers to build lasting relationships for years to come. You’ll advocate for patients and work one-on-one to provide the care they need, collaborating with CNAs, HHAs, Case Managers, and the patient’s physicians. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.
Schedule
5 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Preferred hours are morning shifts (flexible from early morning through late morning).
Responsibilities
- Work with the patient in their home to provide one-on-one service in a comfortable and familiar setting
- Assist with the patient’s activities of daily living as well as personal care
- Light housekeeping
- Meal preparation
- Monitor vitals (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc.) according to plan of care
- Remind patient to take medication as prescribed
- Maintain records and documentation of services
- Communicate with the patient’s family, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health and care of the patient
Qualifications
- Ability to monitor vital signs
- Dependable transportation
- Current CPR certification
- Must pass a background check
