Home Health Aide (HHA)
About the role
As a fast-growing, leading provider, Giving Home Health Care is committed to supporting individuals impacted by health conditions related to their work in nuclear facilities for the Department of Energy. We serve patients across Arizona, Colorado, Kentucky, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.
Responsibilities
- Executes physician prescribed plans of care and compliant documentation of care provided in system of record
- Administers prescribed treatments, and therapies
- Performs patient assessments, coordination of care
- Performs various activities associated with daily living, communications, and monitoring of vitals while working at the patient’s home
- Communicates with family members, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health of patients
- Light housekeeping
- Assistance preparing beverages and daily comfort items
- Companion care and supervision during outdoor activities
- General support with activities of daily living
- Performs other personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s needs
Requirements
- Current CPR, First Aid, and 2-Step TB Test
- Prior experience in a clinical care setting, home health preferred
- Good interpersonal skills
- Prolonged standing and walking required, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move patients
- Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
