About the role

Summit Home Care & Hospice is expanding its services with a new caregiving division and is seeking compassionate, dependable Home Health Aides (HHA)/CNA/STNAs to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Helping with oral hygiene and hair care
• Supporting mobility and exercise routines
• Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when needed
• Light housekeeping, including changing bed linens, laundry, and tidying living spaces
• Providing medication reminders
• Monitoring and recording vital signs (with proper training)
• Observing and reporting changes in patient condition
• Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment
• Following care plans and documentation procedures
• Being a kind, respectful, and reliable presence in the home

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• HHA Certification, Ohio CNA Certification, or Active/Valid Ohio STNA License is required
• Must meet training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws for home health aides
• Must have current CPR certification
• Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with acceptable auto insurance to meet company standards, highly preferred but not required (non-driver options also available)

• Able to read, follow care plans, and document services provided
• Self-directed, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision
• Caregiver to individuals with varying needs
• Maintains good hygiene and a professional appearance
• Physically able to stand, walk, lift, bend, and assist with patient mobility
• Adequate vision and hearing to safely perform care tasks
