Home Health Aide

Overview

Sentara Home Care is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join their team as a Home Health Aide. The position is part-time, working during the weekdays only. The schedule can be flexible and is centered around patient needs. The location is Charlottesville, VA. Applicants must have a personal car and a valid driver’s license. Mileage reimbursement is offered for all miles driven between patient visits.

Certification/Licensure

• CNA, or nurse aide/assistant certificate from an accredited school (required)
• BLS (Required within 90 days)

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and routine patient care, such as personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and feeding
• Intake/output
• Ambulation
• Assisting patients with transfer from/to bed, toilet and other areas of the home
