Home health Aide
The Home Health Aide provides patients with assistance in activities of daily living. The role involves performing varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments.
Responsibilities
- Assists patients within the home with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and managing medications.
- Manages household chores and pays bills as needed.
- Addresses needs related to disabilities, disease, and mental impairment.
- Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization and timing.
- Follows standard policies and practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation and deviation.
Requirements
- HHA 75 Hour Certificate or Current CNA State License.
- CPR certification.
- OSHA Certificate.
- HIV/AIDS Certificate.
- HIPAA Certificate.
- Alzheimer's Certificate.
- Domestic Violence Certificate.
- Minimum 1+ year(s) professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors.
- Part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
- Valid in-state driver’s license, current registration and insurance, and a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years.
- Part of Humana's Driver safety program.
Qualifications

- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA).
- Ability to follow standard policies and practices with some latitude.
