Home health Aide

The Home Health Aide provides patients with assistance in activities of daily living. The role involves performing varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients within the home with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and managing medications.
• Manages household chores and pays bills as needed.
• Addresses needs related to disabilities, disease, and mental impairment.
• Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization and timing.
• Follows standard policies and practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation and deviation.

Requirements

• HHA 75 Hour Certificate or Current CNA State License.
• CPR certification.
• OSHA Certificate.
• HIV/AIDS Certificate.
• HIPAA Certificate.
• Alzheimer's Certificate.
• Domestic Violence Certificate.
• Minimum 1+ year(s) professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors.
• Part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
• Valid in-state driver’s license, current registration and insurance, and a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years.
• Part of Humana's Driver safety program.

• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA).
• Ability to follow standard policies and practices with some latitude.
