Home Health Aide

Affirmed Home Care is hiring experienced Certified Home Health Aides (HHAs) for immediate per diem assignments in Coram and throughout Suffolk County. We are looking for dependable, compassionate HHAs who take pride in providing quality, one-on-one care and helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

Pay

$19.65 per hour

Schedule

Flexible 6–12 hour shifts | Per Diem | Weekly pay through direct deposit

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Providing personal care, bathing, grooming, and hygiene assistance
• Assisting with mobility and transfers as appropriate
• Providing medication reminders as directed
• Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
• Supporting clients in maintaining their dignity, independence, and quality of life

Requirements

• Current New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification required
• At least 1 year of professional HHA experience
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Reliable transportation strongly preferred
• Dependable, compassionate, and professional approach to patient care

Required Health Documentation

• Physical examination completed within the past 12 months
• PPD or QuantiFERON test completed within the past year, or a chest X-ray completed within the last 5 years
• MMR immunization documentation within the last 10 years
