About the Role

As a Caregiver at Astrocare Home Healthcare, you'll provide essential support to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being through personalized care and assistance with daily activities. Our goal is to help consumers or clients obtain the greatest independence possible within the community by understanding their unique needs and providing respectful, comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Maintain client safety through regular wellness checks and environmental monitoring
• Prepare nutritious meals and ensure proper hydration
• Assist with medication reminders and compliance
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe living environment
• Change dressings and assist with basic medical care as directed
• Engage clients in social and recreational activities to support mental well-being
• Document and report changes in client condition to the healthcare team
• Adapt care approaches to various living conditions and client needs

Qualifications

• Preferred 1 year of caregiving experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to assist clients with mobility
• Dependable with excellent time management skills
• Ability to speak Spanish is a plus

Pay

Starting at $12.75 per hour

Schedule

• Part-time, 19 hours per week
• Flexible schedules with 4, 6, or 8-hour shifts available
• Specific shifts: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 11 am - 5 pm
