Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment
- Achieve and exceed sales and profit goals
- Maintain quality assurance standards
- Model and demonstrate company core values
- Create a welcoming environment for customers
- Answer questions about products
- Gain and maintain knowledge of products
- Respond to customer inquiries and suggest products
- Offer product samples
- Recommend Drug GM and Home items
- Review "sell by" dates
- Take appropriate action on "sell by" dates
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies
- Stay current with store advertisements
- Reinforce safety programs
- Practice preventive maintenance
- Identify and report unsafe conditions
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents
- Report safety risks, illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud
Requirements
- Handle stressful situations effectively
- Communicate clearly and effectively
- Perform basic math operations (counting, addition, subtraction)
- Have retail experience
- Desired: second language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing)
