Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Achieve and exceed sales and profit goals
  • Maintain quality assurance standards
  • Model and demonstrate company core values
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers
  • Answer questions about products
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of products
  • Respond to customer inquiries and suggest products
  • Offer product samples
  • Recommend Drug GM and Home items
  • Review "sell by" dates
  • Take appropriate action on "sell by" dates
  • Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
  • Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies
  • Stay current with store advertisements
  • Reinforce safety programs
  • Practice preventive maintenance
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents
  • Report safety risks, illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud

Requirements

  • Handle stressful situations effectively
  • Communicate clearly and effectively
  • Perform basic math operations (counting, addition, subtraction)
  • Have retail experience
  • Desired: second language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing)
