Job Summary

CareBuilders at Home of EastSide provides non-medical assistance with activities of daily living to individuals in their homes or care settings. We are guided by the Ubuntu philosophy, emphasizing care for others and community strength.

Responsibilities

• Assists with daily personal tasks
• Carries out services according to the client's individualized service plan
• Maintains a safe and secure home environment
• Performs light household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry
• Supports clients with errands and activities outside the home
• Offers companionship, engagement, and emotional support
• Provides assistance with activities of daily living and personal care
• Accurately documents services performed
• Notifies supervisor of uncompleted tasks or changes in client's condition
• Reports incidents and emergencies to the agency supervisor
• Maintains communication with the home care team
• Follows infection control standards

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a personal care (service) course and training meeting state requirements
• State registration or certification as required by state law
• Six months of experience as a personal care aide in the last three years or similar experience
• Initial tuberculosis test showing non-infectivity
• Annual tuberculosis screening
• Drug Screening
• Background Check
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance if driving clients or if driving on behalf of clients as part of work duties

Qualifications

• Education: High School, GED, or equivalent
• Training: Personal care (service) course and training meeting state requirements
• Experience: Six months of experience as a personal care aide in the last three years or similar experience
• Credentials: Initial tuberculosis test showing non-infectivity, annual tuberculosis screening, drug screening, background check, valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
