About the role
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Occupational Therapist to provide in-home care.
Responsibilities
- Accepting and treating patients within a designated geographic area
- Providing 1:1 therapy sessions and developing individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs
- Delivering care that aligns with professional standards and agency policies
- Educating family members and caregivers on therapy techniques
- Planning and implementing occupational therapy programs to improve or restore physical function, relieve pain, and prevent dysfunction
- Performing initial assessments, documenting visits, and adjusting treatments as needed
- Willingness to treat geriatric patients
Qualifications
- Graduation from an Occupational Therapist Program
- State licensure or eligibility in New York
- Strong communication skills and ability to travel within the assigned area
- Experience in home health preferred but not required (training provided)
