About the role

This position is responsible for supervising, assigning, and evaluating the performance of Home Health Aides (HCAs) in the Intouch Program. The role also involves assisting with program and administrative support, following all policies and procedures of accreditation bodies, and maintaining on-call availability to manage emergencies and provide guidance to HCAs.

Responsibilities

  • Check and update HCAs' schedule in SAMS, resolve issues related to scheduling and client concerns as well as update the manager and/or AED upon the next business day.
  • Record client hours and submit for billing in software program ensuring hours are correct.
  • Plan and implement quarterly in-service program trainings and record data in appropriate software.
  • Document client contacts and conflicts per funding requirements.
  • Perform assessments and ensure accurate documents are filed in the caregivers’ and clients’ files.
  • Ability to conduct in-home visits upon request.
  • Maintain on-call availability to manage emergencies and provide guidance to HCAs as needed.
  • Provide direct supervision, training, support, review, and evaluation for assigned staff.
  • Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individuals in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a human services field.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Supervisory certification from IDOA within 60 days of hire date.
  • Ability to attend all necessary trainings required by payor sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to actively listen and to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience using and proficient in the SAMS/Sandata system.
  • Excellent organization, presentation, and PC/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software computer databases for data entry, retrieval, electronic filing and record management.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
  • Access to reliable transportation required.
  • Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury, and property damage required.

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using and proficient in the SAMS/Sandata system.
  • Excellent organization, presentation, and PC/computer skills.
