About the Role

Brookdale at Home offers a Private Duty Caregiver career with flexible scheduling options, including full-time, part-time, and PRN positions. Most offices are located within a Brookdale Senior Living Community, with same-day interviews available.

• One-on-one companionship
• Non-medical hands-on care, including dressing, bathing, grooming, personal care, and assistance with transfers
• Housekeeping and laundry
• Pet care
• Transportation to doctor’s appointments and other errands
• Medication reminders

Responsibilities

As a Caregiver at Brookdale, you will provide direct care to residents, recognizing individual needs while encouraging independence and treating each senior with respect and dignity. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal care needs
• Nurturing a home-like setting within the community
• Helping residents with household tasks like vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and dishes

Qualifications

To be a Caregiver at Brookdale, you should have a passion for helping others and be committed to providing compassionate care. No prior experience is required for entry-level roles, but seasoned caregivers are also encouraged to apply.

Temporary associates are not benefits-eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program. Brookdale also supports associates in their journey to U.S. citizenship by advancing fees for naturalization (Form N-400) application costs, up to $725 (less applicable taxes and withholding), for qualified associates employed for at least one year.

Pay

Base pay is determined by the applicant’s skills and experience.
