Holiday Installation and Production Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a Seasonal Holiday Installation and Production Technician to build holiday props and décor—such as wreaths, trees, garland, and arrangements—based on designer direction and customer specifications. You will also install holiday décor at commercial sites across the city. This is a seasonal position with approximately 40 hours per week, including potential weekend work and Thanksgiving weekend shifts. There may be opportunities for extended employment beyond the holiday season.

Responsibilities

• Use creativity and artistry to construct holiday décor and props, including trees, wreaths, garland, and arrangements.
• Assist in warehouse preparation and installation of live and artificial holiday decorations at interior and exterior commercial sites.
• Follow written, visual, and verbal design guides to ensure installations meet customer specifications and satisfaction.
• Adhere to budgeted hours as specified on job orders.
• Work collaboratively in a team setting while maintaining professionalism in appearance, actions, and customer service.
• Minimize material waste and maintain a clean, organized work area while ensuring equipment remains in good repair.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to changing business demands.

Requirements

• Creative ability to build holiday décor and props, with attention to detail in preparation and installation.
• Ability to follow design guides (written, visual, or verbal) and meet customer expectations.
• Experience in design, lighting, or basic electrical training is a plus but not required.
• Strong teamwork skills and a professional demeanor.
• Commitment to customer service for both clients and colleagues.
• Awareness of material costs and waste reduction.

Schedule

Approximately 40 hours per week, with potential weekend work, including Thanksgiving weekend.
